2025 guidance and planning resources

In 2025, Online Campus and the ATI team emphasized planning and preparation for the ADA Title II digital accessibility rule, including the use of checklists, dashboards, and course level tools.

  • Digital accessibility dashboard (Power BI): summary data on course remediation, training participation, and other indicators. The most current version is available on the main digital accessibility page .
  • Course materials checklist (AY 2025-26): one page guidance for prioritizing syllabi, required readings, media, and assessments for remediation. The latest version is linked from the course materials checklist section .
  • Canvas course accessibility tools: increased use of UDOIT, TidyUP, and built in Canvas accessibility checkers to identify and fix issues.
  • Integration with ATI guidance: alignment with the ATI web accessibility and instructional materials resources at /ati/index.html.

2025 communications and announcements

During 2025, Online Campus and campus partners communicated with faculty and departments through:

  • Announcements in Canvas and through faculty development channels

Representative topics included:

  • Preparing digital course materials to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements
  • Using UDOIT and TidyUP to remediate Canvas pages and modules
  • Accessibility expectations for videos, recordings, and third party tools
  • Connections between individual student accommodations and proactive course design
